Sienna’s interest in cameras began at a young age, experimenting with her parents’ old equipment and taking photography classes in middle school. Throughout high school, she used photography as an artistic outlet, documenting friends and travels.
She went on to minor in photography and cinematography in college, where she took courses such as Alternative Photography and History of Photography, gaining an appreciation for historic processes. Among them, wet plate collodion—particularly tintypes—captured her attention for their striking black-and-white, silvery hues.
She first learned the process in 2019 and has since deepened her practice, exploring and refining the form through the quiet interplay of people and place.
